Advantages of Copper-based fluxes:
  • Reduces the oxidation so costly alloying elements are saved as well as maintain the grade properly
  • Creates a reducing atmosphere required for Cu-alloys
  • Cleans metal and remove non-metallic inclusion
  • Increase in metal yield
Advantages of Copper-based degasser:
  • Eliminates gas porosity due to hydrogen
  • Gasses-1/2 are inexpensive and easy to apply
  • Considerably improves mechanical properties
